A Royal Pismo Beach Phenomenon . . . The Monarch Butterflies are Here!

The Monarch Butterflies Have Arrived in Pismo Beach!

Attention nature lovers and general butterfly enthusiasts . . . The Monarchs have arrived in Pismo Beach!

This phenomenon happens only four months out of the year-- November-February-- so now is the prime time to take at these majestic orange creatures. These beautiful butterflies are one of the many treasures of the Central Coast, and are indigenous gems of the Pismo Beach coast.

Monarch Butterfly Tours are now being offered at the Monarch Butterfly Grove in Pismo Beach, CA. These beautiful orange and black "fairy-like" creatures begin to appear in late October in California's largest Monarch grove. Thousands cluster in our Eucalyptus trees, giving the appearance of golden leaves. The Monarch butterfly grove is located on Highway 1 just south of the North Pismo State Beach Campground. Free admission, parking and docents. Don't miss this spectacular wonder of nature.
