Why Go to SLO for Farmers Market? Go to Pismo instead!

Downtown SLO may be the hip place to be on any given Thursday night, but if you're all about great produce straight from the farmer, downtown Pismo Beach offers an incredible selection as well.

Pismo Beach Farmers Market happens every Wednesday from 3-6 at the historic Pismo Pier!

So, if you don't want to drive all the way out to SLO and hunt for a parking space in the crowded downtown area, come to Pismo instead!

And if you're staying at Valentina, each of our suites come with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, allowing you to cook some of the fresh food you pick up at the pier!

Central Coast Book & Author Festival

Central Coast Book and Author Festival
Bookworms and Sunday Comic Fans Beware!
The Annual Central Coast Book & Author Festival 2011 on September 18 from 10am-4pm is sure to draw large crowds of bookworms with an eclectic array of authors, independent booksellers, small presses, literary art groups, and non-profit community organizations. The festival offers readings, panel discussions, workshops and a children's area, and will be happening in Downtown SLO at the Mission Plaza.

On Saturday evening, September 17, Jerry Scott, the co-creator of Zits and Baby Blues comics, will make a presentation in the Community Room at the San Luis Obispo Public Library. The presentation will be free-of-charge, and will give the audience a chance to see how this creative genius makes his daily comics. His work published in thousands of newspapers around the world.

All proceeds of this fundraising event support the SLO County public libraries.
