The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (SLOIFF) is just around the corner. Headquartered in the charming downtown of San Luis Obispo on the marvelous Central Coast of California, this premiere SLOIFF showcases contemporary and classic cinema in a wide variety of venues, from the city’s world-renowned art deco Fremont Theatre, to the popular independent Palm Theatre. San Luis Obispo International Film Festival

The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is right around the corner. From March 12-21, incredible films and documentaries, as well as high-profile celebrities and VIPs will be here in San Luis Obispo County.

Academy Award-winning actor Alan Arkin will receive this year’s King Vidor Award at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival. The actor comes to town Saturday, March 20, to accept the honor at the Fremont Theater.

Arkin is best known for movies that date back to the 1960s, including “The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming,” “Wait Until Dark,” “Catch 22,” and “The Seven Percent Solution.” He won the Oscar in 2006 for his portrayal of the foul-mouthed grandfather in the hit comedy “Little Miss Sunshine.” His most recent movies include “Get Smart” and “Sunshine Cleaning.”
