Gidget's Coming to SLO--Yes, The Real One

Kathy Kohner Zuckerman, the girl who challenged social norms by picking up a surfboard and taking on the waves of Malibu as Gidget will give a presentation at the San Luis Obispo screening of ACCIDENTAL ICON: The Real Gidget Story, playing Wednesday, October 10 at the Fremont Theatre in San Luis Obispo at 7:30pm.

Director Brian Gillogly and surf legend/pioneer, Linda Benson, will also be on hand for a pre-show reception and a lively Q&A session after the film. The screening is free, with a suggested donation of $15 ($10 for students.)

The meet-and-greet reception is happening before the film at Luis Wine Bar from 5:30-7:00pm and Kathy will be signing "Gidget" books too! Tickets for the reception are$50 tickets for the reception include food, wine, beer and a chance to chat with all the special guests. All proceeds for the party and the film directly benefit the Women's Legacy Fund and the 2013 SLO Film Festival. To purchase reception tickets, click here!.
