Pacific Breeze Concert Series Starts March 28!

Pismo Beach will be rocking out on every other weekend starting today (March 28), as the Pacific Breeze Concert Series at Dinosaur Caves Park in Pismo Beach kicks off  with the reggae sounds of Natural Incense and a special Spring into Green Celebration. This free, springtime series features exceptional regional musical groups as well as special family activities. The City of Pismo Beach Recreation Division is again presenting this series. The concert at the Park’s new Rotary Amphitheatre will run from 1-4 pm. The Park is located just off highway 101 at the south end of the Shell Beach Village on Shell Beach Road at Cliff Avenue. San Luis Obispo International Film Festival

The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is right around the corner. From March 12-21, incredible films and documentaries, as well as high-profile celebrities and VIPs will be here in San Luis Obispo County.

Academy Award-winning actor Alan Arkin will receive this year’s King Vidor Award at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival. The actor comes to town Saturday, March 20, to accept the honor at the Fremont Theater.

Arkin is best known for movies that date back to the 1960s, including “The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming,” “Wait Until Dark,” “Catch 22,” and “The Seven Percent Solution.” He won the Oscar in 2006 for his portrayal of the foul-mouthed grandfather in the hit comedy “Little Miss Sunshine.” His most recent movies include “Get Smart” and “Sunshine Cleaning.”
